THE STORY OF LINVALE COUNTRY LODGE

The Guest Lodge was built in the early 1960’s and it had first started out as a farmhouse on a farm called Linvale. It then later became a Guest Lodge when the family who owned the farmland realised that the surroundings were too beautiful not to share with travellers from all over the world, thus converting it to an accommodation establishment.

The guest lodge, since then has been a very special place to locals in Hazyview, as well as to those that have stayed previously and enjoyed what it has to offer. 

The now owners of Linvale Farm decided to reestablish the guest lodge with a modern country colonial look and feel to bring about the simply unique and cozy comforts for the guests.

This new journey began January 2021 when they partnered with Gideon and Tammy Barnard to become a part of this new journey. Their expertise compliment the vision that they had in mind for Linvale Country Lodge.

Gideon, who is head of all the operations, is a gentleman who loves to make conversation with the guests. His general knowledge is impeccable. From Sports talks, to Nature, to World travels. He will talk to you about anything and make you feel right at home.

Tammy who does the reservations and cooks you a scrumptious breakfast, really enjoys making sure that guests are all well looked after. You will find her offering you a beverage and checking if there is anything that she may assist you with.

This couple have a niche to make you feel welcome and comfortable, from the time you check in at the Lodge.

Together they both have a true passion for their guests.

They are deeply rooted with passion, and you will always be greeted with a smile and served with love and kindness.
